Beyond the Palace Gates
Dolmabahçe Palace is the anchor of one of Istanbul's richest neighborhoods. Within a 15-minute walk in any direction, you will find Ottoman landmarks, Bosphorus views, vibrant markets, green parks, and modern cultural institutions. Here are 15 things to do after your palace visit.
On the Palace Grounds
1. Dolmabahçe Clock Tower

Standing 27 meters tall in front of the palace's Treasury Gate, the Clock Tower was built between 1890 and 1895 by the architect Sarkis Balyan for Sultan Abdülhamid II. Its four-sided clock faces are visible from far across the Bosphorus, and it remains one of Istanbul's most recognizable landmarks.
